Project Coordinator – Education (Emergency Response)

About the role

The Project Coordinator – Education will lead the implementation of education activities within World Vision’s Nepal Flash Flood Response (NFFR) 2026 plan. Working in the flood‑affected districts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot, the coordinator ensures that emergency education interventions meet quality standards and achieve targeted outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to World Vision and partner NGOs delivering emergency education, including the set‑up of temporary learning centres.
• Coordinate rapid education assessments, ensuring inclusion of children with disabilities, Dalits, indigenous groups and other marginalized communities.
• Integrate psychosocial support into all emergency education activities.
• Support partners in planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting in line with the response plan.
• Ensure disaggregated data collection (sex, age, disability, caste/ethnicity) for inclusive programming.
• Facilitate coordination with district education clusters, government agencies, donors and UN partners.
• Monitor programme quality through field visits, data verification and compliance checks.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation measures and ensure compliance with World Vision, donor and humanitarian standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education (or Bachelor’s with 3‑5 years experience) and at least 2 years of experience in education programming.
• Demonstrated experience in education emergencies or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong report‑writing ability and experience with data management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Nepali.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence without direct authority.
