MEP Project Engineer – Hospitality Construction

About the role

The MEP Project Engineer will lead the design, coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for hospitality projects in Kathmandu. This full‑time on‑site position requires hands‑on experience to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of building services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop plans and specifications for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Integrate MEP systems with the building structure and other disciplines.
• Supervise installation of MEP equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, recommending improvements for efficiency and longevity.
• Communicate with clients to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed site records, daily logs, inspection reports and change orders.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and tradespeople for smooth project execution.
• Control quality to meet required standards and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for MEP systems and components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in hospitality construction.
• Proven ability to evaluate, optimise and maintain building services.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, architects and contractors.
• Effective problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical wiring, lighting, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
