Account Executive – Accounting Operations

About the role

The Account Executive will support the finance function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounting activities. Working closely with the head office team, you will help maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and support month‑end closing and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit‑card statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare daily sales reports and attach supporting receipts.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities promptly and professionally.
• Handle petty cash, expense tracking and receipt management.
• Process debtor payments, maintain collection reports and issue invoices.
• Prepare payment vouchers, cheques and ensure timely payments to suppliers, rent, utilities and other standard obligations.
• Audit local suppliers, cross‑check prices against bills and reconcile key supplier accounts.
• Record asset, liability and capital account entries and update the company asset register.
• Assist the corporate accounting team with year‑end finalisation and audit activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather accurate financial information.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal financial regulations, including TDS/VAT filing.
• Interact with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
• Prepare financial status reports and provide historical data to supervisors as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field (BBS, BBA, MBA, MBS accepted).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
