Assistant Manager - Maintenance

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Maintenance will support Sagar Distillery’s production facilities by planning, executing and continuously improving maintenance activities. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime and upholds safety and ISO standards in a fast‑growing spirits manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance plans and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage equipment breakdowns, lead root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Control critical spares, maintenance materials and associated costs.
• Supervise the maintenance team, monitor performance and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal safety procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 4–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to lead teams, plan work and coordinate resources.
• Strong knowledge of equipment reliability, ISO compliance and safety practices.
