Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Management (SCM)

About the role

Big Mart is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to lead its warehouse and supply chain operations in Kathmandu. The role combines hands‑on management of inbound and outbound logistics with data‑driven process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and distribution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through rigorous stock control, documentation and reporting.
• Coach, mentor and develop warehouse staff to boost productivity and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and operational standards across all warehouse functions.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to guarantee seamless supply‑chain flow.
• Analyse operational performance, identify improvement opportunities and implement efficiency initiatives.
• Prepare operational reports and support management with data‑driven decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics or inventory management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
• Good understanding of quality, safety and compliance standards.
