Assistant Sales Manager

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager will support the sales team in generating room, event and service bookings for Hotel Himalaya. Based on‑site in Kathmandu, the role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel agents and local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and coordinate sales visits and property tours.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and track sales performance.
• Assist with marketing campaigns, both digital and offline, and represent the hotel at local events.
• Maintain accurate records in sales systems and collaborate with front office, events and operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Support negotiations, participate in local promotions and provide regular reports and feedback to the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Strong sales support and client relationship management skills with a focus on local business development.
• Competence in basic marketing activities and ability to coordinate promotions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Solid organizational and administrative capabilities, including report management and multitasking.
• Prior experience in hospitality, sales or customer service, preferably within hotels or tourism.
• Relevant education in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kathmandu and adapt to a fast‑paced, guest‑centered environment.
