Banquet Manager – Hotel Events & Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Banquet Manager to lead banquet operations at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk, ensuring seamless execution of conferences, weddings, social events and corporate functions. The role combines event planning, team leadership and close collaboration with culinary, sales and front‑office teams to create memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily banquet operations, overseeing setup, service flow and staffing for multiple events.
• Supervise and motivate banquet staff to uphold high service standards.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Sales and Front Office to ensure smooth event planning and execution.
• Meet with clients and event organizers to capture requirements and manage expectations.
• Monitor banquet setup, presentation standards and compliance with hygiene, safety and responsible alcohol service.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory control, budgeting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Handle guest feedback, operational challenges and service recovery promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality or related field (preferred).
• 5–7 years of Food & Beverage or banquet operations experience in a hotel, with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations, event planning and service standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Experience using hotel management systems and operational reporting tools.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety regulations.
