Barista Trainer

About the role

The Barista Trainer will join Scottish Hospitality Academy in Baneshwor to deliver hands‑on coffee preparation training to learners and staff. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on elevating café service standards through practical instruction and continuous skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured training sessions covering espresso extraction, brewing methods, milk texturing and coffee recipes.
• Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of espresso machines, grinders and related equipment.
• Create, update and organise training materials and documentation.
• Monitor trainee performance, provide constructive feedback and track progress.
• Collaborate with academy staff to align training content with industry expectations and ensure a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a barista with solid knowledge of espresso machines, grinders and milk texturing.
• Strong training and development abilities, capable of designing and evaluating effective learning programmes.
• Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and feedback.
• Customer‑service mindset to model professional café interactions.
• Ability to manage groups in a practical training setting and work on‑site in Baneshwor.
