Business Development Manager

About the role

ApplyBoard is seeking an independent contractor to act as a Business Development Manager, supporting B2B recruitment partner development and market engagement. The role focuses on helping recruitment partners understand, promote, and use ApplyBoard’s platform, services, and standards to drive growth and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Represent ApplyBoard’s mission, services, platform capabilities, partner standards, and commercial objectives to recruitment partners, education agents, and institutional contacts.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective recruitment partners, aiming to improve engagement, platform adoption, application quality, and commercial performance.
• Identify, onboard, activate, train, and enable recruitment partners, explaining processes, platform usage, documentation expectations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance and training to partners to enhance the quality, completeness, and volume of student applications submitted through the platform.
• Support market development activities such as partner outreach, market research, territory analysis, competitor awareness, event participation, and preparation of market insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, partner management, or B2B sales within the education or technology sector.
• Ability to communicate ApplyBoard’s value proposition clearly and professionally to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with a focus on driving partner engagement and commercial results.
• Experience in onboarding, training, and enabling partners on digital platforms.
• Analytical mindset for market research, territory analysis, and insight generation.
