Collection & Recovery Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Collection & Recovery Officer to manage overdue payments, maintain accurate records, and foster strong customer relationships while ensuring timely recovery of outstanding amounts.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up with customers via phone, messages, and email for outstanding and overdue payments.
• Maintain and update customer accounts, outstanding balances, and collection records.
• Coordinate with Sales and Finance teams on pending payments, credit limits, and account statements.
• Monitor payment commitments and ensure timely follow‑up on promised dates.
• Prepare regular collection and recovery reports for management.
• Conduct customer visits when required for payment follow‑up and recovery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in collections, recovery, accounts receivable or similar role.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Good command of MS Excel and accurate record‑keeping.
• Proactive, responsible and confident in dealing with customers about payments.
• Willingness to travel and own a two‑wheeler with a valid driving licence.
