Deputy General Manager – Quality Control (DGM)

About the role

The Deputy General Manager – Quality Control leads the quality and production development function across the cement plant, from raw material receipt to final product dispatch. The role ensures consistent product quality, optimal efficiency, regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and monitor raw material receipt, testing, and storage to meet production specifications.
• Oversee material flow, feeding systems, and blending processes throughout the plant.
• Analyze grinding operations, mill performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Direct the Quality Control team, laboratory activities, and ensure calibration of equipment.
• Lead Integrated Management System (IMS) implementation and maintain certification compliance.
• Coordinate with Production, Mining, Maintenance, Marketing, Procurement and Corporate Office to achieve quality and production targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Cement Technology or related field.
• 12‑15+ years of experience in cement manufacturing, quality control or process development, including senior leadership roles.
• Experience with integrated cement plants, raw material quality management, laboratory management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Negotiable salary range; family flat accommodation provided; SSF and TDS tax as per Nepal law.
