Driver – Vehicle Operations & Administrative Support

About the role

The Driver will operate Ipas Nepal’s vehicle, ensuring safe transport of staff, visitors and goods while maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. The role also includes basic administrative support for office logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable driving services within Kathmandu and to locations outside the valley.
• Maintain internal and external cleanliness of the vehicle and motorbikes daily.
• Conduct daily vehicle condition checks (brakes, lights, battery, tire pressure, oil, fuel level, etc.) and ensure roadworthiness.
• Monitor fuel availability, record consumption, and manage refueling logs.
• Coordinate with security and traffic control before trips and follow all traffic regulations.
• Handle accident procedures, notify supervisors, and assist as needed.
• Ensure the vehicle is equipped with safety tools, a toolbox and a fully stocked first‑aid kit.
• Oversee routine servicing, parts replacement and timely renewal of vehicle documents.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and submit standard travel logs after each trip.
• Provide administrative assistance such as photocopying, scanning, toner replacement, and logistical support for meetings and trainings.
• Perform errands for banks, government offices and deliver official documents to partners and donors.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Experience driving in Kathmandu and surrounding areas.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and routine maintenance.
• Strong record‑keeping skills for logbooks, fuel and maintenance documentation.
• Willingness to follow Ipas values, traffic rules and organizational policies.
