Education Counselor

About the role

We are seeking a passionate, customer‑focused Education Counselor to join our Study Abroad team in Kathmandu. The role will support students interested in studying in Australia, New Zealand and other destinations, guiding them from course selection through visa application and pre‑departure preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions to assess students’ academic background, career goals and budget.
• Advise students on suitable courses, universities and study destinations, with a focus on Australia and New Zealand.
• Explain admission requirements, language test scores and university application procedures.
• Provide detailed information on scholarships, accommodation, student life and cultural adaptation.
• Assist students with visa requirements, documentation, Statements of Purpose and application submission.
• Review and monitor university applications, personal statements and ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate student records and update the CRM system.
• Build and maintain relationships with students, parents and university representatives.
• Identify business opportunities, develop marketing content and represent the company at educational fairs and webinars.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in education counseling or study‑abroad advisory.
• Proven experience guiding students for Australian education programmes; knowledge of New Zealand is a plus.
• Familiarity with visa documentation and immigration procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple student cases and meet admission targets.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.
