Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the company's vehicle fleet, ranging from heavy trucks to small vans. The role ensures vehicles are safe, efficient, and compliant with company standards while supporting multiple branches and departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily fleet operations, monitor vehicle movement, availability, utilization and performance.
• Develop and monitor maintenance plans, schedule regular servicing, repairs and fitness checks.
• Arrange immediate support and replacement vehicles during breakdowns, coordinate emergency repairs and roadside assistance.
• Investigate accidents, prepare incident reports, manage insurance claims and follow‑up with insurers and workshops.
• Manage spare parts inventory, maintain accurate stock records and prevent loss or misuse.
• Supervise drivers and support staff, deliver training on safe driving, vehicle handling and company SOPs.
• Provide updates on route diversions, road conditions and operational risks; coordinate with operations teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fleet reports covering fuel usage, maintenance costs, accidents and performance; ensure compliance with transport laws and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, fleet management or transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and route coordination.
• Ability to supervise drivers and support staff effectively.
