HR Assistant – Training and Development

About the role

Metro Market is looking for a proactive HR Assistant focused on training and development to enhance employee learning across its retail network. You will support onboarding, coordinate training sessions, and provide on‑site coaching to ensure staff are equipped to deliver excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate induction and onboarding programs for new hires.
• Organise and monitor training programmes for store and head‑office employees.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess training needs and deliver on‑the‑job coaching.
• Maintain employee training records and prepare periodic training reports.
• Assist in developing training materials, SOPs and learning content.
• Monitor employee performance during probation and submit feedback reports.
• Coordinate performance appraisal and employee development initiatives.
• Support employee engagement and organisational development activities.
• Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and operational procedures across branches.
• Perform other HR‑related duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in HR, preferably within the retail sector.
• Valid two‑wheeler driving licence and personal vehicle for regular store visits.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and able to work independently.
