International Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

MG Consultants is seeking a highly experienced Senior Contract Specialist to support the SASEC Highway Enhancement Project in Nepal. The role is based on‑site in Colombo and involves managing contracts for a 95 km highway rehabilitation and bridge upgrade financed by the Asian Development Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and negotiate contracts for road and bridge packages.
• Draft, review and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Conduct detailed contract analysis and address contract‑related issues.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for contract administration.
• Maintain accurate records of all contract documents.
• Coordinate stakeholder communications across multiple regions.
• Monitor adherence to FIDIC Red Book and Pink Book conditions.
• Prepare reports for client approval and project mobilization.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Contract Management or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 20 years of civil engineering experience.
• At least 15 years on road and/or bridge projects.
• 10 years as a Contract Specialist on major infrastructure projects.
• Completed two ICB highway projects of more than two years each.
• Completed three projects of more than one year with FIDIC Red or Pink Book experience.
• Five years experience in Asia‑Pacific, Europe and the Americas (each region).
