Junior Account Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Account Officer to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day accounting operations. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop a solid foundation in accounting while contributing to the organization’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting records, including general ledger entries, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Prepare periodic financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and investigate any variances.
• Monitor financial transactions for compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Ensure statutory compliance, including tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support financial operations and reporting needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
