About the role
The Junior Account Officer will support the finance team by handling day‑to‑day accounting transactions and assisting the sales department when required. This position combines core bookkeeping tasks with occasional front‑office jewelry sales, offering a varied experience in a fast‑moving environment.
Key responsibilities
- Enter daily sales, purchase, payment and receipt transactions into the accounting system.
- Assist the sales team with routine tasks as needed.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare statutory submissions such as TDS, monthly VAT, business and rental tax filings.
- Calculate and process payroll for staff.
- Manage full‑time billing and part‑time over‑the‑counter jewelry sales.
- Prepare financial reports and conduct periodic stock counts.
Required profile
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in accounting.
- Valid two‑wheeler driving licence is a plus.
