Livestock Development Officer

About the role

The Livestock Development Officer will support the Youth Empowerment for Transformation and Innovation (YETI) Project by delivering livestock‑related interventions in Sindhuli district. The role involves extensive field work, community engagement, and coordination with project managers to promote sustainable livelihoods for young women and marginalized youth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field visits (approximately 70% of the time) to assess livestock needs and monitor project activities.
• Implement livestock development activities, including training, animal health monitoring, and market linkage support.
• Collaborate with the District Project Coordinator and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Collect, analyse, and report data on livestock interventions and outcomes.
• Facilitate capacity‑building sessions for youth participants and local partners.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in livestock development, agricultural extension, or related community‑based projects.
• Ability to travel frequently within the project area and work in remote field settings.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
