Program Officer

About the role

United Community Nepal (UniCoN) is seeking a full-time Program Officer to be based in Pokhara. The role will support the design, implementation and monitoring of community-focused programmes that empower women, children and marginalized groups.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement community development projects from planning through to reporting.
• Monitor project progress, collect data and assess impact against set indicators.
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, partners and beneficiaries.
• Ensure programme activities align with UniCoN’s mission and compliance requirements.
• Prepare detailed programme reports and documentation for donors and internal use.

Required profile

• Experience in the nonprofit or development sector, preferably with community-oriented initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Management or a related field.
• Strong communication skills in English and Nepali, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems and work independently in a dynamic environment.
