Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (Kathmandu)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Semi‑Qualified Chartered Accountant to join our audit and advisory team in Kathmandu. You will work on‑site supporting senior staff in delivering statutory and internal audit engagements, financial reporting and tax compliance for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing statutory and internal audits, including control testing and documentation of working papers.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and regulatory filings in accordance with Nepalese accounting and auditing standards.
• Perform tax computations, support tax planning activities and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Provide advisory support on risk management, corporate governance and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with clients to gather information, maintain clear documentation and meet engagement deadlines.

Required profile

• Progress towards Chartered Accountancy qualification (Semi‑Qualified CA) with solid knowledge of accounting, auditing and taxation.
• Experience or training in statutory/internal audits and financial statement preparation.
• Understanding of Nepal’s regulatory compliance, tax laws and corporate governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kathmandu and collaborate effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting or audit software.
