Senior Counselor – New Zealand Education Pathways

About the role

Grace International Group is looking for a Senior Counselor to join its Kathmandu office and support students interested in studying in New Zealand. The role involves guiding prospective students through university selection, application preparation, and visa processes while also mentoring junior counselors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide up‑to‑date counseling on New Zealand education pathways, institutions, and courses.
• Assess student profiles and recommend suitable universities, colleges, and programs.
• Guide students through the full application process, including SOPs, LORs, academic documentation, and offer letters.
• Advise on New Zealand student visa requirements, financial documentation, and immigration compliance.
• Stay current with Immigration New Zealand policies, institutional intake changes, and scholarship opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with New Zealand institutions and their representatives.
• Mentor and support junior counselors on New Zealand‑specific processes.
• Meet individual counseling and conversion targets.
• Maintain accurate student records and follow‑ups using the CRM system.
• Conduct pre‑departure briefings and seminars for outgoing students.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in student counseling for New Zealand education pathways.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand immigration and visa regulations.
• Ability to mentor junior counselors and work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
