Senior HR Associate

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development, the Senior HR Associate will manage end‑to‑end HR administration for ICIMOD. The role covers appointments, contracting, onboarding, employee records, payroll coordination, staff benefits, insurance, HR reporting and separation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employment contracts, ensure timely onboarding and maintain accurate personnel records.
• Coordinate payroll and staff benefits with the Finance unit and external providers.
• Process staff insurance, manage HR reporting and support separation procedures.
• Assist in HR process improvement, digitalisation initiatives and workforce analytics.
• Uphold confidentiality, compliance and high‑quality service delivery in all HR operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in HR administration, operations or personnel management, preferably in an international or multicultural organisation.
• Strong knowledge of HR administrative processes, employment contracts, onboarding, payroll coordination, staff benefits and compliance.
• Experience working with ERP systems and digital HR platforms, with a focus on data accuracy and process efficiency.
