Senior HR Manager – Group-wide People Function

About the role

The Senior HR Manager will lead the people function for a group of three businesses in Kathmandu, overseeing all HR activities for roughly 45 employees. This hands‑on, group‑level position will transition the organisation from informal, owner‑driven practices to a structured, professional HR function.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a unified HR framework, including core policies, grading structures and processes, while allowing flexibility for each entity.
• Prepare and maintain the group’s HR manual covering employment terms, leave, attendance, code of conduct, disciplinary procedures and grievance handling in line with Nepali law.
• Advise the Managing Director and business heads on organisational structure, manpower planning and people‑related decisions across all three entities.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for all businesses, from manpower planning and job description drafting to sourcing, interviewing, salary negotiation and onboarding.
• Maintain a structured onboarding programme to ensure new hires become productive quickly.
• Oversee accurate and timely monthly payroll for all employees, coordinating with the accounts department.
• Ensure compliance with labour regulations and support performance management, employee relations and grievance resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of HR experience, preferably in a multi‑business environment.
• Proven ability to design, implement and execute HR policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Nepali labour law and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing recruitment, payroll, performance management and employee relations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
