Senior Project Associate – Monitoring and Evaluation

About the role

The Senior Project Associate will support the monitoring and evaluation of shelter and settlement activities in Nepal following the August 2026 flood. Reporting to the IOM Chief of Mission and the Head of the MECR department, the role ensures data‑driven decision‑making for emergency shelter recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the project M&E framework, including periodic assessments and data quality assurance across Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading.
• Develop and maintain data collection tools and systems to track emergency shelter, household assistance, and recovery interventions.
• Prepare progress reports and results updates for project management, donors and coordination mechanisms.
• Support the establishment and monitoring of a community‑based complaints and feedback mechanism.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in development studies, statistics, social sciences, disaster management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in humanitarian or development settings, with proven M&E experience.
• Fluency in English and Nepali (oral and written) and ability to work under pressure, including frequent travel and weekend overtime.

Required skills

• Strong data quality assurance, reporting and results‑based management capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and project management tools.
• Experience using quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tools.
