Senior Software Engineer – Oracle PL/SQL

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality database‑centric applications. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver robust solutions that meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all SDLC phases: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Translate business and technical requirements into functional PL/SQL code, including queries, procedures, packages, and other database objects.
• Write and maintain unit tests, ensure code quality, and address SonarQube violations and security findings.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical reviews, and project discussions.
• Maintain legacy code while implementing new features, ensuring stability and performance.
• Prepare technical documentation, process flow diagrams, and support materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate‑complexity issues related to application behavior and database performance.
• Communicate status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and take ownership of assigned stories from development through implementation.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience developing with Oracle PL/SQL (or MS SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of relational database design, SQL optimization, and Oracle performance tuning.
• Familiarity with software development principles, OOP concepts, and secure coding standards.
• Experience with version control systems (Git or Subversion) and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work on moderate‑complexity issues.
• Basic knowledge of Linux fundamentals and command‑line usage.
