Senior Technician (Splicer)

About the role

Dish Media Network is looking for an experienced Senior Technician to manage end‑to‑end fiber network activities across transmission, trunk and ODN segments. The role involves planning, installing, splicing, testing and maintaining fiber infrastructure on a 24×7 shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fiber routes, measure, lay cable and install across Transmission, Trunk, ODN, PoD, FDB, JC and customer premises.
• Perform fiber splicing, termination and commissioning according to network specifications.
• Conduct OTDR, OPM and VFL testing, analyze optical power, link loss and overall fiber performance.
• Identify, locate and rectify fiber faults and critical network issues within SLA limits.
• Execute preventive maintenance, network health checks and field audits, maintaining accurate GIS/Google Maps records.
• Install, test, relocate and decommission optical equipment and fiber infrastructure.
• Coordinate with QRT/FTTX teams and service partners, support root‑cause analysis and prepare daily activity reports.

Required skills
