Structural Engineer

About the role

Raman Construction is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the BBDMP Project in Surkhet, Nepal. The role involves designing, analysing, reviewing and supervising structural works while ensuring compliance with codes, quality, safety, cost and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve structural designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Design and analyse reinforced concrete, steel and other structural systems using national and international codes.
• Perform structural analysis with software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 and AutoCAD.
• Prepare construction drawings, reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, MEP engineers, contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical solutions for site problems, design discrepancies and unforeseen conditions.
• Review material submissions, method statements, inspection requests and technical proposals.
• Monitor reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, steel structures, foundations and retaining structures.
• Assist in preparation and review of method statements, ITPs, RFIs, NCR responses and variation proposals.
