Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will support the end‑to‑end procurement and logistics processes of a manufacturing operation in Kathmandu. You will work closely with vendors, warehouse teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost‑effective movement of raw materials and finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Track purchase indents, purchase orders and overall procurement status.
• Negotiate prices with vendors, monitor purchase rates and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouse and transport partners for on‑time dispatch and delivery.
• Maintain VCTS documentation and submit freight bills promptly.
• Monitor raw material and packaging material stock levels, shelf life, shortages and near‑expiry items.
• Ensure finished‑goods dispatch follows FIFO and manage slow‑moving or low‑shelf‑life inventory.
• Collaborate with sales and factory teams for stock liquidation and scrap management.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree completed.
• At least 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of procurement, supply planning, inventory management, logistics and distribution.
• Strong communication, negotiation and vendor‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
