Account Executive

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our client’s team in Kathmandu on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, and assisting senior management with day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and record all financial transactions promptly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and perform bank reconciliations.
• File VAT, TDS and other statutory compliance reports.
• Assist in budgeting, cash‑flow management and financial planning.
• Prepare MIS reports and periodic reporting as instructed.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Nepal tax regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and operational reporting to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in finance/accounts.
• Semi‑qualified CA, ACCA student/affiliate or equivalent professional qualification preferred, with 1 year post‑articleship experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal tax laws, VAT and TDS.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
