Architect – Design & Permit Sets

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Architect to develop high‑quality architectural drawing and permit sets for our projects in Kathmandu.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare permit sets according to jurisdictional review authority requirements.
• Create plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings based on client needs, project meetings, and field measurements.
• Coordinate regularly with project managers and the engineer of record, updating drawings per meeting notes and review feedback.
• Manage multiple revisions efficiently and meet agreed project deadlines.
• Maintain organized, up‑to‑date project files and drawing sets following office filing standards.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and code compliance.
• Assist in standardizing templates and workflows to improve office efficiency (preferred).
• Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training to junior drafters as the role progresses.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of architectural drafting experience.
• Familiarity with US building codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with project teams.
