Chef de Cuisine – Luxury Hotel in Kathmandu

About the role

The Soaltee Kathmandu, a 5‑star luxury hotel in Nepal, is seeking a full‑time Chef de Cuisine to lead its culinary team. Based on‑site in Kathmandu, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations and delivering innovative, high‑quality menus that reflect global cuisines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise food preparation and ensure consistent quality across all outlets.
• Develop and design creative menus using premium ingredients.
• Maintain health, safety and food hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Control food costs, manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold culinary excellence.
• Collaborate with hotel management to enhance the overall dining experience.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in menu creation, culinary techniques and food presentation.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Experience in cost control, inventory management and supplier coordination.
• Effective communication and collaborative mindset.
• Culinary certification or degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred.
