Commis Chef – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk as a Commis Chef. You will support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in delivering high‑quality dishes for the hotel’s restaurants, banquets and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily preparation and operation of the assigned kitchen section.
• Prepare ingredients, perform mise en place and follow standardized recipes.
• Support basic food preparation, cooking, sauce and stock making under supervision.
• Maintain hygiene, clean workstations and kitchen equipment according to hotel standards.
• Handle receiving, storage, labeling and rotation of food products to minimise waste.
• Report shortages, quality issues or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Assist during busy service periods and help other sections when needed.
• Participate in special culinary events, promotions and festive offerings.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, hotel or restaurant is preferred; fresh graduates with relevant culinary training are also considered.
