Construction Site Coordinator

About the role

The Construction Site Coordinator works for a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school. This full‑time position manages workflow, quality, and safety on construction sites, coordinating local workers, volunteers, and resources.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction sites, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and safe work practices.
• Allocate tasks among local workers and volunteers, and liaise with Volunteer Relations and Logistics Coordinators to match staffing and material needs.
• Develop and enforce safety and quality standards in line with the All Hands and Hearts Safety Management System.
• Provide on‑site technical support to Site Supervisors, trainees, team leaders, and volunteers.
• Assist the Project Manager with training programs, capacity‑building for team leaders, and weekly project forecasts.
• Maintain accurate tracking of work completed, progress, and deliveries; contribute to weekly and monthly reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in building trades preferred.
• 2+ years professional construction experience; prior experience with All Hands and Hearts is a plus.
• Experience managing logistics in developing‑country contexts is desirable.
• Formal safety training and certifications (e.g., IOSH, OSHA, first aid) are preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proactive problem‑solving, and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, especially Google Docs and Google Sheets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
