Construction Site Supervisor

About the role

The Construction Site Supervisor works within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and supports children’s education. This full‑time position manages project workflow, ensures the quality and safety of all construction activities, and provides on‑site technical support to team leaders and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure quality control and work efficiency of construction tasks delegated by the Construction Site Coordinator and Project Manager.
• Provide on‑site technical support to team leaders and volunteers.
• Liaise with the Construction Site Coordinator to manage workflow and staffing.
• Maintain accurate tracking systems for completed work, progress, and site deliveries.
• Conduct daily morning meetings to deliver health and safety briefings and assign daily tasks.
• Implement safety and quality standards and design site protocols.
• Support the Coordinator in managing local masons, subcontractors and volunteers, assigning tasks accordingly.
• Assist with on‑site tracking, site diary and work logs.
• Help implement Team Leader training and hold regular team meetings.
• Provide monthly skill matrix updates to the Project Manager and Coordinator.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in carpentry, masonry or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of professional construction experience; prior All Hands and Hearts experience is a plus.
• Formal safety training and certifications (construction‑site safety, first aid, IOSH or OSHA) preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication; confident using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office.
• Well‑organized with a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Good understanding of construction and demolition practices.
• Proactive leadership and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
