E-waste Manager

About the role

Doko Recyclers is seeking an experienced E‑waste Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its e‑waste facility in Sanothimi. You will be responsible for overseeing collection, assessment, repair, dismantling and safe disposal of electronic waste while ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The role also involves driving business growth, securing partnerships and exploring new revenue streams in the e‑waste sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the collection, storage, assessment and repair or dismantling of e‑waste, ensuring safe handling and accurate inventory tracking.
• Supervise the e‑waste facility’s operations, maintaining safety, organization and compliance with national regulations.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate the e‑waste team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute strategies for sourcing e‑waste, building corporate and institutional partnerships, and expanding recycling operations to new locations.
• Prepare reports, destruction certificates and compliance documentation for clients and donors.
• Write proposals and grant applications to secure funding for e‑waste projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in e‑waste management, electronics repair or related environmental operations.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team and translate complex technical work into clear client communications.
• Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations governing e‑waste in Nepal.
• Experience in business development, partnership building and grant writing.
