Engineering Assistant – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Assistant supports the Engineering team in daily maintenance of the new Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk hotel. You will help keep guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance, repair and upkeep of hotel facilities, equipment and systems.
• Support technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Respond to work orders from guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house locations.
• Carry out basic tasks in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting as trained.
• Conduct routine checks of equipment and report defects promptly.
• Help maintain clean, organized and safe engineering workshops, storage areas and tool inventories.
• Assist with inspections of lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, pumps and motors.
• Support contractors and external service providers during maintenance activities.
• Participate in energy and utility monitoring and emergency maintenance as required.

Required profile

• Basic technical training or experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work under supervision.
• Willingness to assist the engineering team in a fast‑paced hotel environment.
