About the role
The Food and Beverage Controller oversees inventory, cost control, and purchasing processes for food and beverage operations within the hospitality sector. The role is essential for maximizing profitability while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan short‑ and long‑term F&B controlling and pricing strategies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of food and beverages.
- Analyze and control food and beverage costs to improve profitability.
- Prepare accurate and timely inventory and cost reports.
- Conduct regular audits, reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and maintain strong relationships.
- Develop and implement cost‑control measures and procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to forecast demand and plan orders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Produce detailed financial reports for management review.
Required profile
- Degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food and beverage cost control.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience with financial reporting.
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Hands‑on experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Familiarity with material control or inventory management software.
