General Manager – Hardware, Cement & Paints

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our hardware, cement and paints business. You will be responsible for overall operations, commercial strategy, inventory management and P&L performance across these product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term business strategies to increase market share for hardware, cement and paint portfolios.
• Analyse construction, real‑estate and retail trends to optimise product positioning, pricing and distribution networks.
• Oversee multi‑category inventory planning, procurement and warehousing, mitigating supply‑chain risks for heavy bulk and regulated chemical goods.
• Negotiate vendor agreements and volume contracts to secure favourable margins.
• Maintain full P&L ownership, budgeting, revenue targets and capital‑expenditure planning.
• Lead and mentor department heads in sales, category management, logistics and store operations, fostering a safety‑first culture.
• Ensure compliance with regional regulations, environmental policies and product standards, including VOC and building‑code requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven senior‑management experience in the building‑materials or home‑improvement sector.
• Strong track record of driving revenue growth and profitability across multiple product categories.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder‑management and analytical skills.
