Head of Accounts

About the role

The Head of Accounts will lead Chynabazar’s finance and accounting division, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management across e‑commerce, warehouse, and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the accounts team, assign tasks, monitor performance and mentor staff.
• Develop and enforce finance and accounting policies, SOPs and SLAs.
• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts and conduct variance analysis against sales, warehouse and logistics costs.
• Oversee ledger accuracy, journal entries, purchase orders, vendor payments and warehouse expense allocations.
• Reconcile e‑commerce transactions, including payment‑gateway and COD settlements.
• Track stock valuation, shrinkage and warehouse operating costs; implement cost‑saving measures.
• Ensure timely VAT, TDS and other statutory filings; manage e‑commerce tax compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, liaise with auditors and tax consultants.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports with insights on margins, fulfillment costs and product‑level profitability.
• Drive ERP and inventory system integration for real‑time financial tracking and automate reporting workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in finance and accounting.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams.
• Background in e‑commerce, warehouse operations or inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and variance analyses.
