Head of Production

About the role

The Head of Production (QC & Production) will lead the plant’s manufacturing and quality operations, ensuring production meets sales demand while upholding food‑safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly and monthly production plans aligned with sales forecasts.
• Oversee batch‑wise production, ensuring traceability, accuracy and on‑time delivery.
• Implement and monitor quality standards, conduct raw material inspections, in‑process checks and final product verification.
• Investigate quality issues, drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage raw material approval, storage, shelf‑life monitoring and coordination with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
• Supervise pest‑control and hygiene programmes, maintaining compliance with food‑safety regulations.
• Plan labour allocation, monitor productivity and collaborate with HR on staffing and compliance.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in production and quality management within FMCG, food manufacturing or related sectors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple production units or plants.
• Strong knowledge of food‑safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent coordination skills across sales, procurement, logistics and HR functions.
