Head of Production (QC & Production)

About the role

The Head of Production (QC & Production) will lead all manufacturing activities at our Birgunj plant, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest quality standards. This senior role requires strategic planning, cross‑functional coordination and strict adherence to food safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and customer demand.
• Execute production schedules efficiently, optimizing manpower, machinery and resources.
• Monitor batch‑wise production for accuracy, traceability and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement and Stores to guarantee uninterrupted production flow.
• Develop, implement and monitor quality standards across all manufacturing processes.
• Conduct raw material inspections, in‑process quality checks and final product verification before dispatch.
• Investigate quality issues, determine root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Approve incoming raw materials and ensure proper storage and handling of both raw materials and finished goods.
• Supervise pest control, hygiene, sanitation and housekeeping activities, maintaining records of inspections and corrective actions.
• Plan and allocate labor, monitor productivity and attendance, and work with HR on onboarding and compliance.
• Maintain batch manufacturing records, quality documentation and ensure compliance with food safety and statutory regulations.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in production and quality management within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or related industries.
• Experience managing multiple production units or manufacturing plants is preferred.
• Strong ability to coordinate with sales, procurement, stores and HR functions.
• In‑depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
