Health Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Health Assistant to support patients in a mental healthcare setting at our hospital. The role involves providing basic care, monitoring wellbeing, and assisting the clinical team while ensuring patient safety and dignity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic care and support to patients in a mental healthcare environment.
• Monitor patients’ physical health, behavior, and overall well‑being.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily activities.
• Support nurses and doctors during patient care and treatment.
• Administer or assist with medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Observe and report any changes in patients’ condition or behavior.
• Provide emotional support and communicate respectfully with patients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and patient‑care standards.
