Remote Nurse Practitioner – AI Clinical SME Contractor

About the role

This is a remote, hourly contractor position where you will act as a Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner Subject Matter Expert. You will review AI‑generated clinical responses, create gold‑standard content, and provide precise feedback to improve AI reasoning, safety, and clarity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by creating detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers aligned to your specialty (assessment, diagnosis, management, patient education, documentation).
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to enhance correctness, safety, clarity, and contextual relevance.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, and bias, ensuring reliability across diverse patient populations and scenarios.

Required profile

• NP/APRN (or equivalent advanced practice nursing qualification) with active licensure/registration (or eligibility) in at least one jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in an advanced practice or specialist role.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills: differential diagnosis, triage, red‑flag recognition, and appropriate escalation.
• Experience managing common and complex conditions, including follow‑up planning, referrals, and patient education.
• Excellent medication safety judgment and high‑level English proficiency (minimum C1).
• Self‑directed, reliable, and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow across time zones.

Required skills

• Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, utilization review, clinical documentation review, guideline work, or healthcare editorial QA.
