Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead the housekeeping team at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces meet the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations for rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house zones.
• Lead, coach and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain consistent cleanliness and guest service standards.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to verify compliance with hotel standards.
• Coordinate with Front Office on room status, early arrivals, late departures, VIP rooms and special guest requests.
• Report and follow up maintenance issues with Engineering and other departments.
• Allocate daily duties, monitor attendance, grooming, productivity and performance of housekeeping colleagues.
• Handle guest requests, complaints and special requirements promptly and professionally.
• Monitor linen, amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment usage and stock levels.
• Support inventory control, stocktaking, requisitions and cost‑effective use of supplies.
• Assist with training, onboarding and development of new team members.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health‑and‑safety, chemical handling and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of hotel housekeeping experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, hygiene practices and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with Front Office, Engineering and other departments.
