Import Officer

About the role

The Import Officer will manage all import-related documentation, coordinate customs clearance, and support sales and accounting functions across multiple branches. This role ensures smooth import operations, accurate financial recording, and timely resolution of payment and shipment issues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage import documents such as Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, TT, LC, and insurance paperwork.
• Process Pragyapan Patra and other customs clearance documents.
• Coordinate with customs agents, freight forwarders, and insurance providers for timely clearance.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure compliance with import procedures.
• Liaise with banks regarding TT, LC, and related payment documentation.
• Negotiate service charges and clearance fees with logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate filing for audit and compliance purposes.
• Track daily sales across branches, prepare branch‑wise reports, and reconcile multiple payment channels (cash, Fonepay QR, Moco QR, card payments, other digital methods).
• Support accounting by recording daily sales, verifying data, and assisting with financial reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with TT, LC, banking processes, and international trade paperwork.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
