Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the day‑to‑day accounting operations of the organization. This entry‑level position involves handling invoices, verifying payments, managing petty cash, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role is ideal for candidates with strong numerical abilities and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices accurately and promptly.
• Verify payments and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage billing activities and maintain customer billing records.
• Record and reconcile petty cash transactions.
• Enter and maintain inventory records in the accounting system.
• Assist in maintaining books of accounts and financial documentation.
• Perform data entry ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (currently pursuing or completed) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, billing, invoicing, or related finance functions.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an accounting system.
• Experience with invoicing and billing processes.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
