About the role
Lumbini Medical College & Teaching Hospital is expanding its emergency department and seeks a dedicated Medical Officer to join a dynamic team focused on high‑quality patient care and medical education. The role involves direct clinical work in acute and emergency settings, collaborating closely with senior consultants and nursing staff.
Key responsibilities
- Provide prompt medical assessment, diagnosis, and emergency treatment to patients.
- Manage acute medical and surgical emergencies in coordination with consultants and senior doctors.
- Perform emergency procedures as required and ensure patient stabilization.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, attendants, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards.
- Participate in duty rosters, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
- Assist in medico‑legal cases and emergency reporting according to hospital guidelines.
