Nursing Officer – Children’s Home

About the role

The Nursing Officer will provide healthcare and wellbeing services to children living at the Kopila Valley Children’s Home, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. This full‑time, residential position also supports preventive care, health education, and coordination with local health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic healthcare, treat injuries, and manage acute or chronic illnesses for children.
• Maintain safe, hygienic living conditions and lead child‑protection risk assessments.
• Develop health plans, conduct screenings, keep vaccination and medical records up to date.
• Supervise and mentor caregivers on hygiene practices and child‑protection protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and communication with health facilities and program staff.

Required profile

• B.Sc Nursing or equivalent (BN or Public Health with PCL in Nursing).
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience working with children; residential caregiving preferred.
• Fluent in English and Nepali with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage, mentor and lead a team, and work independently with minimal supervision.
