Multi-Destination Study Abroad Advisor (UK, Canada, NZ, Europe, South Korea)

About the role

GECC in Bagbazar, Kathmandu is looking for an experienced Educational Advisor / Senior Educational Advisor covering UK, Canada, New Zealand, Europe and South Korea. The advisor provides admissions counseling, shortlists universities and courses, processes applications, guides students on scholarships and assists with student visas and pre-departure orientation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess students' academic strengths, interests and aspirations
• Research and recommend universities and programmes suited to each student
• Guide students through applications, including personal statements and interviews
• Assist with scholarship and financial aid applications, and with visa documentation, SOPs, financial requirements and medical formalities
• Organise information sessions and presentations on study abroad opportunities
• Maintain relationships with universities in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and other destinations
• Provide information on immigration rules and visa regulations, and track student progress
• For Canada: advise on study permits, work permits, PR pathways, IELTS/PTE, GIC and IRCC rules, and follow up clients until visa decisions
• For the UK: advise on UCAS and university applications, CAS, SOPs, financial proof and UKVI rules, and coordinate with universities
• Achieve assigned counseling and enrollment targets, maintain accurate records and CRM data, and give post-visa guidance

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an education counselor with a proven track record
• In-depth knowledge of the educational systems of the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Europe and South Korea
• Strong understanding of admission requirements, scholarships and visa processes
• Relevant experience in abroad admissions and visa counseling
